Political Ice Cream
Who ever thought ice cream could get political? The Star Spangled Ice Cream Company decided it was time for frozen dairy partisanship. With funny flavours like Gun Nut, Ara-Fat Free, Smaller Govern Mint, Iraq The Vote, and others, the little company from Virginia is seeing business boom. I have to hand it to them, it's a great hook.

But you know how politics go. My friend Andre decided that it is time to suggest some new flavours, to attract the ever changing market preferences:

FEMA Colada
ImPEACHment
Osama Bin Lemon
Raisin Deficit
The Country is Fudged
Torture By Chocolate

:p

Marvel Needs to Work on Their Geography
I was going to fill out this Marvel survey about digital comics, which I actually have a lot of opinions about, but I found out that my region of the world, "North America", doesn't exist in Marvel's eyes! I guess if you live in the Americas, and if you don't live in the United States, then you must live in Central or Southern America! There's not even a North Pole option! Time for them to brush up on some Alpha Flight.

C'mon, Marvel! Stephen Harper didn't sell Canada to the United States. Yet!

My Moment of Geekyness
I figured out what time Nintendo of Japan would make their big DS announcement and go to this site to see what's new.

http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20060215/nin1.htm

The site is in Japanese but I got the jist of it! Basically they announced:

  • A web browser based on Opera. It will be sold as separate software.
  • A TV Tuner that's only good in Japan so far.

George Bush wants to outlaw WHAT?
From his State of the Union address:

"A hopeful society has institutions of science and medicine that do not cut ethical corners, and that recognize the matchless value of every life. Tonight I ask you to pass legislation to prohibit the most egregious abuses of medical research: human cloning in all its forms, creating or implanting embryos for experiments, creating human-animal hybrids, and buying, selling, or patenting human embryos. Human life is a gift from our Creator -- and that gift should never be discarded, devalued or put up for sale."

What the crap!?!? No Man-Bat, no The Fly, no Spider-man? So sad.
