Best Wishes To All And Play Safe
Yesterday the first day in a while that I've had a chance to sit down and relax and sleep lots. Christmas was hectic, but very enjoyable. I know it's "the thought that counts" but I feel bad that I didn't spend as much on Christmas as I wanted to especially on my family. Pay came in a bit too late so I'll make it up to them later I guess. Dean and I also hosted our first dinner party, which was fun galore. Maybe it sounds crazy, but I really do enjoy being in the kitchen all day. After a month of waiting (bastards), I got my computer back from the repair shop so I can finally update the Space Channel 5 page and start cracking out a Cool Girl/Cy Girls page.

XIXOX Bloody Rose Action Doll

A lovely photo of XIXOX Bloody Rose from the Cool Girl Official Bootleg website.
I've neglected to mention it when the press release came out, but bbi (Blue Box Toys) announced that they will indeed release XIXOX in North America as a part of the Cy Girls line. Too late, because I already pre-ordered a Takara Cool Girl XIXOX directly from Japan to avoid that "bbi not releasing Revenger Girl so I had to jump hurdles and pray to gods to get one" fiasco. Stupid bbi.

Canmore & Rimbey Alberta
In the last week we went to Canmore for Skiing and Rimbey for Dean's Mom's family's Christmas parties. I'm far too lazy to post details about the trips but I'll just quickly thank Megan and Russell for their wonderful hospitality in Canmore. I'll gladly go with them on any other field trips in the future!

Big Spender
I decided to go around town and see what I can get people for Christmas. There's a girl I know that likes coffee, so maybe I'll get her a nice gift basket. Maybe I'll find something for the gift exchange. Maybe I'll find inspiration for those I haven't a clue what I'm getting. Maybe I'll pick up a few little stocking stuffers...
So today I bought AA Batteries and a pine tree cookie cutter. Total spent: $3.19 including G.S.T.

I'm Really Starting to Hate Mice
So I have things to do today and WHAM! I finally got some various pages of work. Either nothing or everything at once. Oh well. One plesent unexpected event is my brother Sam is on his way over to visit me (yay)!
Last night I went into the kitchen and noticed mouse droppings on the counter. BOOO!!! Stupid mice. I really wouldn't mind mice so much if they didn't poop everywhere. And eat everything. Dean and I got dressed up in our coats and gloves (because our stupid kitchen is about 7 degrees C. Noooo exaggeration) to disinfected the counter tops and floors. Dean spotted the mouse, but it ran under the dishwasher. Haven't seen it since. I hope it found it's way out of the house.

Too Much Spare Time
Feeling a little weird since only one page of new work has come in the last week. People need to buy more comics so I can get more work. Oh, woe is the life of a freelancer!!
We keep the kitchen door closed now so we don't lose heat through it. I almost wonder if it is even insulated or not! My kitchen is really cold. Not "see-your-breath" cold, but pretty close. I put out some butter to soften but it's still as hard as rock. It has become tempting to just open the oven door and crank it up just to warm the room. In the spring, that is a room we'll definitely need to address. I'm going to have to do my prep work in the living room.
My blogger comments won't work properly with my archives, so I think I'm just going to take it down. I might steal George's idea of using a shoutbox instead.
And stupid Westworld still hasn't fixed my computer. They've had it for 18 days now. That is so frickin' obnoxious. The funny thing is that they're fixing stuff they broke the last time I took it to them, and they had it for two weeks. Actually, in total, Westworld has had my computer for over 6 weeks. I think I'm going to tell Dean we are never taking it there for repairs again and then report them to Apple.

Sometimes The News Amuses Me
I wonder if the sales for maple leaf stickers and patches will skyrocket after today.
An American from San Diego is quoted saying: "What bugs me about Canadians, if I may, is that they wear that damn patch on their bags, the Canadian flag patch. That way, they differentiate themselves from us.

Blogger Pisses Me Off
The more I learn about Blogger, and how to use it, the more I realize it is INCREDIBLY STUPID! Dean said it used to be okay before Goggle bought it. Anyway, I just fixed my archives. Kinda, sorta.
I believe it is time for me to look into getting a new online journal system.

Feelings of Doom
Good Eats host Alton Brown's book I'm Just Here For The Food has an excellent excerpt from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration's Foodborne Microorganisms and Natural Toxins in regards to tetrodotoxin, the stuff that makes eating a bad piece of fugu (blowfish) potentially fatal:
"Other common symptoms include vomiting, lightheadedness, dizziness, feelings of doom, and weakness."
