Did You See Halle Berry as "Catwoman" Yet?
If not:
http://www.superherohype.com/catwoman/index.php?id=207

"Her character, Patience Price, is a scientist at a cosmetics company who transforms into Catwoman to take on her nefarious boss, played by Sharon Stone".

It sadly sounds like Catwoman The Movie is ripping off an episode of the Mary-Kate and Ashley cartoon.
(And I am NOT joking!)

Donald O'Connor
Donald O'Connor died of heart failure yesterday. He was 78. An amazing dancer, he co-starred with Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds in Singin' In The Rain and starred in other musicals as well as the series of Francis The Talking Mule movies.

A funnyman right to the end, his last words were
"I'd like to thank the academy for my lifetime achievement award that I will eventually get."

Pregnant!
I threw together my Image Gallery but all I have there right now is the new house pictures. I'll try to get some of the fun stuff posted real quick here. Weekend looks busy for me. I'll be flatting Catwoman for Laurie Kronenberg but I haven't heard form her in a while. She lives out on the east coast of the United States so I hope she just haven't been online, but there is a chance she has no electricity right now because of the hurricane.

Last night we went to Once Upon A Time In Mexico. I quite enjoyed it. There wasn't enough Salma Hayek. But there was wire flying! There was one point in the movie when Willem Dafoe had crazy eyes thing happening and the camera was moving real quickly towards his face that made me laugh. But I was the only one in the theatre laughing. I keep doing that at movies!

Funny thing happened to me. The other day, my family went to Ikea for my sister's birthday "party" (we ate at the cafeteria and bought her furniture). I finished eating for a while but everyone else had to go to the bathroom, etc. So I decided to walk around the kiddie furniture section because I love the kiddie stuff at Ikea and have bought pieces for myself (like adorable pillows) and the kiddie stuff was right next to the cafeteria. I guess last night my mom suddenly asked my brother Stanley "Is Steph pregnant?" because I was looking at baby furniture.

Sheesh!

Same Sex Marriages
Something coming up in Parliament is legislation to legalize same sex marriages. I admit I fear that the legislation will not pass because there are too many MPs encouraged by special interest groups that feel the need to not allow same sex marriages. I really don't understand why such discrimination is still tolerated.

I just wrote my Member of Parliament and you can find your MP and his or her contact information at by clicking here and typing in your postal code.

Holy Freakin' Jumping Jeepers!
My sleep was interrupted by the telephone ringing this morning.
I let Dean get it.
After Dean hangs up, I find out that HIS PARENTS JUST BOUGHT US A HOUSE!
We're going to check it out tonight. I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

Udon Makes Me Happy!
Yes, udon noodles are yummy. But I'm actually talking about Udon Comics, the studio that worked on comics I enjoy such as Agent X and Street Fighter. I was posting on the Newsrama message board about how I love SNK and Capcom game artist Shinkirou (Shinkiro?) and Erik Ko of Udon kindly responded to me "Stephanie - You like Shinkiro? Stay tuned on the Street Fighter comic......".

Beanworld
I was thinking about what my favorite independent/small press comic book and the winner is Tales Of The Beanworld. I remember I was quite young when I started reading it and it isn't the easiest comic to follow, but every issue had a map and glossary to help. Anyway, today I went on google and found this site:

Beanweb
http://www.proaxis.com/~half/BeanWeb/home.html

Sadly, there's not much coming out. More like nothing. But it was nice to visit this memory lane.

Cyber Goth Geisha
One of my fashion loves of my life is the Cheongsam. Although it is a traditional chinese dress, I embrace people's variations of the dress like Lip-Service's chinese silk and pvc strapped dress or the fusion inspirations in Europe. Even full rubber cheongsams are cool.

But have I, for all these years, been dressing like a Cyber Goth Geisha? Why, oh why is it you can find the traditional cheongsam on eBay with the description "Cyber Geisha" or "Cyber Goth Geisha?" Is the cheongsam something futuristic gothy geishas wear? Or were all of those chinese women all these years actually Cyber Goth Geshias? Look! A Cyber Goth Geisha! My GOD! Does it mean...? My mom has so many pictures of herself dressed in cheongsams!!!
